Only administrators can add and edit tags.
Tags (previously called types) describe what a report shows. Reporters pick them in the Venzeo™ mobile app when they create a report. You then use them to filter reports, send email alerts and close tasks. Every tag belongs to one category.
Example: a waste company has a Waste Bin category with the tags Overloaded, Damaged and Locked.
Add a tag
- Open the main menu, expand Tags & Categories and choose Manage Tags & Categories. The Tags & Categories page opens.
- Click Add new Tag.
- Enter the Tag name.
- Optional: pick an icon. Venzeo™ adds it in front of the tag name.
- Under Category, select the category the tag belongs to.
- Click Save. Successfully added appears and the tag is listed under its category in Manage tags (within categories).
When you save, Venzeo™ asks every linked phone to update. A phone that is offline gets the change the next time it connects.
Tip: Keep tag names short so they are easy to read in the Venzeo™ mobile app.
Rename a tag or move it to another category
- Open the main menu, expand Tags & Categories and choose Manage Tags & Categories.
- Click Edit next to the tag.
- Change the Tag name, or select another Category.
- Click Save. Successfully saved appears.
The change also applies to existing reports that have the tag.
Stop reporters using a tag
Deactivating a tag removes it from the Venzeo™ mobile app. Existing reports keep the tag.
- Open the main menu, expand Tags & Categories and choose Manage Tags & Categories.
- Click Edit next to the tag.
- Click Deactivate, then confirm with Deactivate. Successfully deactivated appears and the tag disappears from the list.
To use the tag again, turn on Show inactive tags, click Reactivate next to the tag and confirm.
Send email alerts for a tag
To have someone emailed whenever a report with a tag is recorded, see Activating an email alert notification.
Close tasks with a tag
A tag can also complete a task: when a report attached to the task has the task’s closing tag, the task is marked as completed. See Completing tasks automatically with a closing tag.
To group tags, see Grouping tags into categories. To plan your tags around the teams that act on reports, see Setting up tags so reports reach the right team.
