How Brantner moved waste-collection photos out of chat groups

Brantner's crews record collection problems in Venzeo™ instead of WhatsApp, so customer service and sales find the evidence fast.

Brantner offers waste management services in Slovakia, including skip hire, public road cleaning, green space maintenance and public lighting upkeep. Brantner has used Venzeo™ since 2014. It started at the Martin branch and has since adopted Venzeo across Slovakia.

The problem

The crews’ main job is collecting waste. On the way, they photograph issues that are likely to cause complaints from citizens or customers, such as uncollected waste or collections outside the usual hours.

Before Venzeo, crews sent these photos via WhatsApp or MMS. This caused several problems:

  • Photos and incident details got lost in long chat threads.
  • Context was missing: the exact location, time and date, and which crew member handled the case.
  • Specific cases were hard to find again later.

How Brantner uses Venzeo

  1. Crews run the Venzeo mobile app on their work phones. Every record goes to one central database.
  2. Customer service and sales work with the same records in the web app.
  3. Each manager signs in with their own login.
  4. Each manager sets up filters for their own needs, without getting in the way of other departments.

Results

  • Venzeo saves Brantner tens of hours a week that used to go into forwarding photos and keeping records.
  • Photo documentation follows one process, and the evidence for a complaint is quick to find.
  • Nobody has to watch WhatsApp or Messenger groups any more. Information is handled as it arrives.
  • The app runs fast and stable in the field, and no major technical issue has needed solving with Venzeo since deployment.

The long-form story is in the Venzeo™ waste-collection case studies (PDF).
