A municipality pays contractors for waste collection, greenery and cleaning, and its own staff spot broken lights, damaged roads and illegal dumps. Without proof, the town hall cannot check what it pays for, and reported problems wait in someone’s inbox.
Put a QR code at each location you check
Create a place of interest for each bin site, playground, bus stop or park, and put a QR code or NFC tag with its custom ID on site. The contractor’s crew scans it, so each report proves they were at that place. See Setting up places of interest (POIs).
Example: a municipality contracts a waste company, and its crews scan a QR code at each location as proof of the completed job.
Tag the problems your staff report
Use tags (previously called types) for the issues your departments fix, such as public lighting failure, damaged road, missing manhole cover, blocked drain, tree to cut and illegal dump. See Adding and editing tags (types) for reports.
Send each problem to the department or contractor that fixes it
Alert the lighting contractor on lighting failures and road maintenance on damaged roads, so nobody has to forward reports by hand. See Activating an email alert notification.
Keep departments and contractors apart
Give each department or contractor its own group, so everyone sees only their own reports. Add the town-hall staff who check everything to every group. See Setting up groups for separate teams.
