Waste collection crews drive the same routes to the same collection points every week. Disputes are about one place and one day: a missed bin, a blocked access road, a damaged container. Without structure, the proof sits in phones and chat groups, and the office searches for it when a complaint arrives.
Make every collection point a place of interest
Your crews know their points, so give each point its place of interest, with your site number as the custom ID. Reporters pick the point in the mobile app or scan a QR code or NFC tag on the site, and every report adds to that point’s history. Make places of interest required, so no report is recorded without its point. See Setting up places of interest (POIs).
Example: when a resident says the bins at a housing block were not emptied on Tuesday, the office opens that place of interest and checks Tuesday’s photos with time and GPS position.
Ask one question per tag category
Use one category for each thing the crew looks at, and short tags (previously called types) for what is wrong. See Grouping tags into categories.
- Bin: damaged, locked, overloaded, heavy, sticker missing.
- Collection point: dirty, cleaned, inaccessible.
- Waste: not suitable, smoldering ashes, frozen, illegal dump.
- Access: car blocking the road, inaccessible route.
- Vehicle: failure, accident, insurance event.
Send problems straight to the team that acts
Alert the bin service on Damaged, sales on Overloaded (a customer who regularly overfills needs a bigger bin), your workshop on Failure in the Vehicle category and the municipality on Illegal dump. See Activating an email alert notification.
Answer complaints and the municipality with a link
When a customer or a city district asks, filter the reports by place and date and send a public link. The recipient sees the certified photos without a Venzeo™ account. See Sharing a live view of reports.
