Updating the Venzeo mobile app

Anyone who uses the Venzeo™ mobile app can update it. Only administrators can see which devices still need an update.

When a new version is available and the device is online, the app shows Update available under Device check on its home screen. It also shows a Venzeo™ update notification.

Update from the message in the app

1. Open the Venzeo™ app on a device that is connected to the internet, preferably over Wi-Fi.
2. Under Device check, find Update available.
3. Tap Update now on Android, or Update in App Store on an iPhone or iPad. Google Play or the App Store opens the update.
4. Wait until the update is installed, then open the Venzeo™ app again. The Update available message is gone.

Update from Google Play (Android)

1. On the device, open the Google Play app.
2. Search for Venzeo and open the app page.
3. Tap Update. When the update is installed, open the Venzeo™ app again.

Update from the App Store (iPhone and iPad)

1. On the device, open the App Store app.
2. Search for Venzeo and open the app page.
3. Tap Update. When the update is installed, open the Venzeo™ app again.

Tip: In the Google Play or App Store settings, turn on automatic app updates over Wi-Fi only. The app stays up to date without using mobile data.

When an update is required

If a version is no longer supported, the message under Device check says: This version is no longer supported. Please update now — it only takes about 30 seconds.

Until the app is updated, the Create new REPORT button is turned off, so no new reports can be created. Update the app with one of the procedures on this page.

Check which devices need an update (administrators)

1. Open the main menu, expand Venzeo™ Mobile App & Devices and choose Manage devices with Venzeo™ mobile app.
2. Check Devices with up to date mobile app:, the share of devices on the latest version.
3. In the device table, open the filter of the App Version column.
4. In Max, enter a number lower than the latest version.
5. Apply the filter. The table lists only the devices on older versions.
6. Ask the people using these devices to update the app. Devices that need an update show Please, update Venzeo™ app to the newest version and the latest version number in the App Version column.
